Sax Royal - Die Dresdner Lesebühne
Groove Station
2024-12-04, 19:30
While the rest of Dresden is poisoning itself with dreadful mulled alcohol in December, the Sax Royal reading stage ensures fun without regret on 4.12. The regulars, Michael Bittner, Roman Israel, Max Rademann, and Gesine Schäfer, bring new stories, poems, and songs to the stage once again at the end of the year, guaranteed to avoid false sentimentality. Satirical sharpness and poetic finesse mix into an inimitable flavor that has nothing in common with the tastelessness of mainstream comedy. An evening for those who want to laugh without turning off their brain. As a special guest, the reading stage is inviting Piet Weber for the first time. Piet was born on a Sunday in November 1986 in Berlin, which led to a big 'Hurrah'. He spent his childhood and school time without major incidents and later studied something with media and journalism. Since 2014, he has been traveling as a poetry slammer and reading stage author across the German-speaking world. In his texts, the author often satirically deals with social and political events or simply tells nonsense from everyday life. In 2015, he became the vice champion of the Berlin-Brandenburg Championship in Poetry Slam. In 2016, he was a semi-finalist at the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships in Stuttgart. Piet Weber is also a founding member of the reading stage Prunk & Prosa, which performs monthly at the Berlin UFA-Fabrik.
