Stiefel is one of the cult pubs on Zülpicher Straße. As for many dive-bars in Cologne, there is a worn-out, dimly lit interior.  However, here the marker-signed walls and worn furniture create an easy-going atmosphere where friendly personalities gather.  Kölsch and Kicker (Table football) are always on the menu here, and rock music will join you in the background.  Just make sure you plan to arrive before 22:00 so you get in without waiting.

Being a hostel in the Belgian Quarter, the CaféBar that resides underneath is always welcoming to guests.  On any given night it seems to be full of life with people inside enjoying different styles of music and equipped with Kölsch or mixed drinks. Zum scheuen Reh is a CaféBar in the Belgian Quarter. A staple bar in Cologne's current nightlife culture as it sits at Köln West train station near the Stadt Garten. A modern cocktail bar in the heart of the Belgian quarter. Little link is seen as a more classy bar in cologne, pricing a bit higher than a student budget - but completely worth it. The "80s Party" will feature pop-wave and Neue Deutsche Welle, whilst the "Rockgarden" events will feature more alternative and rocky music. The "Cowboys from Hell Night" was inaugurated on the final Saturday of the month in addition to the "Metal Party" Rockgarden. The harder genres, such as Death & Thrash Metal, Grindcore, etc., are the main focus this evening. Less well-known bands are also performed on the Rockgarden, despite the fact that some of these genres are also represented there. This is a larger venue and it is a must to first check out what kind of music is playing first! Buying tickets will assure you will get in.

Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld Cologne is a popular club in the heart of Ehrenfeld located right underneath the Ehrenfeld train station. The club's selection of performers stands out in particular for its acute eye for clever, imaginative, and highly skilled artists. The club is ideal for smaller club shows because of the urban and lovely flair of the railway arches. On most weekends, there is three dancefloors here, giving a lot of room to dance, and a comfortable nightlife environment. On the right bank of the Rhine, GEB-UDE 9, a former warehouse, is located inside a derelict manufacturing complex. It has been run by a group of neighborhood advocates since 1996. The 500-person venue has established itself as a mainstay on the German touring scene, drawing a variety of high-profile, globally famous performers, from the newest indie-rock must-sees to the most innovative dance and urban groups. The concert hall and the bar room make up the GEBUDE 9 premises. The bar room offers a more cozy atmosphere. A bit out of the way as comes with the industrial style - but definitely a cool atmosphere.
